A&P Mechanic

This is a full-time on-site Mechanic role at Icarus Flying Academy in Brookhaven, NY. The Mechanic will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of our fleet of aircraft.

Qualifications

• Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance skills
• Experience with Heavy Equipment
• Troubleshooting skills
• Certification from an FAA-approved aviation maintenance technician school preferred
• At least 2 years of experience working as a mechanic in the aviation industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• A&P certification, a must
